MuseFest: Miles to Dayton, Kerry Kearney & Jack Licitra
Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts – Patchogue Theatre and The Muse Within present three of the area's best-loved original acts in a celebration of Local Original Music. MILES TO DAYTON: Miles to Dayton’s music happens at a personal level; their message of love blending elements of folk, rock, classical, and funk into an irresistible invitation. “M2D” first performed at Patchogue Theatre in 2006 and since has performed here over a dozen times for thousands of people. This family band from Suffolk County has built a loyal following for their outstanding songwriting, tight vocal harmonies and unparalleled musicianship. Their fourth album "Forces Unknown" was released in 2016 at a gala concert on our stage. KERRY KEARNEY: Kerry Kearney is a Long Island treasure known for his talents as a songwriter and singer, but perhaps most especially for his skills as a guitarist on a par with any of the best in rock history. His songs are an upbeat mix of American Blues & Roots, created from writing and performing on the circuit for over 40 years. His wailing guitar riffs, electrifying slide and infectious rhythms have built a huge loyal following up and down the east coast and beyond. His seventeenth and most recent album, "Black Tea," was released in 2016. JACK LICITRA: Jack Licitra is a songwriter, singer, keyboardist and guitarist who in 1992 founded the mythical Waterstreet Blues Band, touring through the Northeast and developing a loyal following here on the South Shore. He then joined Kerry Kearney to open for The Allman Brothers Band on a U.S. tour and went on to form Jack’s Waterfall, recording eight albums of uplifting songs and performing non-stop for audiences large and small. As a session musician and producer, he has been part of over 100 albums for other musicians. As founder of South Bay Arts, he has been a teacher and mentor for countless musicians and songwriters. WITH SPECIAL GUEST CAMRYN QUINLAN Camryn Quinlan, a student of Muse Within workshops, has released “Better Day,” a song dealing with the subject of teen suicide.
