Deadline to Register: Youth Tennis Instruction - Session II
Leominster Recreation – Tennis Pros Colleen Carlson and Mark Mogé of Fusion Tennis Academy will be running tennis programs for the recreation department this summer. These youth programs are designed to teach tennis basics from correct grips and strokes along with practice techniques to give a solid foundation in which build upon. All equipment will be provided by Fusion Tennis Academy but children need to wear sneakers and bring their own water bottle. Children are welcome to bring their own racquet if they have one. Deadline to Register: Playground Program - Week V
Leominster Recreation – Our Playground Program continues to be a popular program. Children grades 1 - 6 are able to attend. All participants will take part in a variety of activities such as arts & crafts, drama, singing, athletics, reading, and some educational programs, but be grouped by ages allowing activities to be better designed and age appropriate. Children will rotate through various activities throughout the day. We will also continue to bring new and exciting programs to the children who attend this program. Activities are subject to change without notice. A variety of entertainers will be brought in each week. We look forward to a fun-filled summer!! Limited to 120 participants! NEW!!! We will be dividing participants by grade level this year. Grades 1 and 2, Grades 3 and 4, Grade 5 and 6. This will allow us to do age appropriate activities. Grades 5 and 6 ONLY - have the choice whether to go to Intermediate/Teen instead. Please choose carefully as mid-week program swaps will not be allowed! DATES: July 31 - August 4 GRADES GOING INTO: 1 - 6 TIME: 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. SITE: Fallbrook School COST: *$40.00 per participant for this short week. Additional fee for trips will be included on the registration form and can be paid online. *There is no daily fee; only weekly. Extended day is offered to any child in the Preschool, Playground, Intermediate or Sportsmania Programs. Extended day will be offered in the morning from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and afternoon from 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Extended day will be held at the program site where it is hosted. Registration and payment is required and must be done 24 hours in advance. We must meet staff to camper ratio. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO CREDITS!!!! It is played on a court one quarter the size of a tennis court, the paddle is similar to a ping pong paddle and the ball is a whiffle ball.
