In one evening, you will learn about the history and process behind creating beautiful blown glass at the New Street Glass Studio. Claflin Hill-Apple Tree Arts Collaboration Concert
Apple Tree Arts – Apple Tree Arts proudly announces our collaboration with The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra on a series of three chamber music concerts starting with the Claflin Hill-Apple Tree Arts Collaboration concert.The Nov. 18 performance will feature an exquisite variety of music from several masterful professional musicians led by Paul Surapine, founder and executive director of CHSO. Mr. Surapine has been teaching clarinet and saxophone at Apple Tree Arts for over 15 years. ATA faculty members who will perform include Amy Carroll who will play the flute and piccolo and violinist Kathryn Skudera Haddad. “The concert will be a smorgasbord of chamber music featuring a variety of music and musicians,” Mr. Surapine said. A few of the musical selections include his performance with his sister, Beth a classical concert pianist, of Brahms Sonatas for piano and clarinet. Flutist Ms. Carroll, cellist Elizabeth Bronstein and violinist Ms. Haddad will perform a trio of Mozart selections. Ms. Bronstein and Ms. Haddad will perform “The Jet Whistle” by Heitor Villa-Lobos. The trio of Ms. Carroll, Mr. Surapine and Ms. Surapine will perform a set of waltzes by composer and pianist Dimitri Shostakovich. Beethoven Sonatas will be performed by the Surapines.
