Generations Roundtable
Chicago Family Business Council at DePaul University – Whether you’re in the first, second, third, or even tenth generation of your family business, you likely have some sort of relationship with your predecessors and successors. Regardless of the dynamic, these relationships include collaboration, conflict and compromise. Sometimes you feel that you’re not being understood by someone from another generation, and you might not understand their perspective either. That is where shared experiences can be a powerful tool. Consider the impact of hearing insights from someone in your parent's generation, or understanding the point of view of someone your daughter's age. Wouldn’t it be beneficial to hear the outside perspectives of family members who aren't actively a part of the business? At CFBC’s Generations Roundtable, we welcome all generations to join us in discussing the challenges of succession, day-to-day operations and more. We’ll open the floor to address topics such as: -What are my hesitations in passing on the business? -What are my fears with taking over the business? -How can I best communicate with that “other generation" and make myself approachable? -How can we collaborate and compromise on our goals for the business? -What boundaries can we set for discussing business at home and vice versa? Join Us Members and their employees will receive priority registration. Limited spots available—contact liz@chicagofbc.com to register.

His performances feature incredible effects mixed with humor and fun to instill a feeling in the audience that can only be described as pure magic. The young and experienced magician has been performing on stage since he was a child. Dryden spent a large part of his life acting, singing, and dancing his way into people’s hearts from the stage.
