This presentation will examine the interwoven story of the Gorge Dam, the Cuyahoga River and the park itself, plus the benefits of dam removal. The tale is one of gravity and water, of scenic beauty and contamination, and of competing economies. Mainly, it is the account of how our vision for the Gorge has evolved. Address: 60 S. Volo Aerial Restorative Yoga Series - 4 Weeks
Be Yoga Studios, LLC – This is a four week series beginning 9/28 and ending 10/19. Volo Restore is a new found practice of Restorative yoga. Integrating the aerial hammock elevates the level of physical, emotional, and psychological effects and offers a complete self- transformation. The hammock is just six inches from the ground helping to alleviate any fears of heights. The root chakra energy is activated sending this up all energy channels in body to the crown chakra. Students practice in a very relaxed way as they hold positions while gently swaying and breathing. The psychological effect of being cradled in the hammock takes the practitioner back to the womb, a place of safety and comfort. This practice has many benefits, such as: Increased well-being, lower stress levels, reduced blood pressure and resting heart rate, opens connective tissues of the ligaments, fascia, and joints, and provides therapeutic recovery for the knees, hips, back and shoulders. This is healing practice for the mind, body and spirit and opens us up to mindfulness by facilitating deep relaxation and meditative state of mind. call us or stop in the studio or sign up online: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/ws?studioid=198075&stype=-8&sView=day&sLoc=0
