Good Form Running
The Foot Store – Runners strive to run faster, more efficiently, and injury free. Good form running focuses on proper mechanics and aims to help runners of all ages and abilities achieve those goals. GFR is designed with simplicity as the primary goal, since if something isn’t easy it generally doesn’t last. Making incremental changes can have a monumental effect on the enjoyability of your exercising. Not a runner? We emphasize how basic principles apply to both running and walking, even for only walking around the mall or to and from your car. GFR addresses posture, lean, and foot strike. We use video to analyze the gait of participants and encourage questions and discussion. Previous topics have included: running on hills, how to use gravity to help you, being barefoot, walking efficiently, footwear, and staying injury free. We have consistently received positive feedback from our clinics and are confident that Good Form Running can have a positive effect on your exercising too.

Tommy Emmanuel & David Grisman - CGP & Dawg Tour
Charleston Music Hall – On October 28, world-renowned Australian "fingerstyle" guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel CGP will release a new album of holiday music, Christmas Memories, showcasing new arrangements of Christmas favorites such as "Jingle Bells," "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!," and "White Christmas." In addition, the album includes three original tunes that are sure to become instant Christmas classics, including "Christmas Time," "Let's Make a Christmas Memory" and "Christmas Memories." In support of the new album, Emmanuel will embark on a U.S. Christmas tour in the fall of 2016. "The Classic & Christmas Tour" will feature one solo set of some of Emmanuel's classic acoustic material, and one set of Christmas favorites where he'll be accompanied by long-time friend and collaborator John Knowles CGP on guitar, Pat Bergeson on guitar and harmonica, and Annie Sellick on vocals. "Making this new album was such a joy for us," said Emmanuel. "We had just finished our last Christmas Tour, and we were ready to go in and play the songs LIVE in the studio. Every performance is how it went down…no studio tricks or fix-ups, just honest singing and playing. This brings a feeling to the music that can't be manufactured. It sizzles with fun and spontaneity. I hope the listener will get some of that. I also can't wait to take some of these new Christmas tunes to the stage." Tommy Emmanuel's five-decade career has garnered millions of fans worldwide, along with two GRAMMY nominations. Emmanuel frequently threads three different parts simultaneously into his material, operating as a one-man band who handles the melody, the supporting chords and the bass all at once. His talents, which translate in any language, carry him to the far corners of the globe, but Emmanuel never plays the same show twice, and he improvises big chunks of every performance. Maintaining a tour schedule of nearly 250 shows a year, Emmanuel has been voted Favorite Acoustic Guitarist in both Guitar Player Magazine and Acoustic Guitar Magazine's reader polls. Emmanuel's catalogue includes over twenty musical recordings of solos, duets, ensembles, cover tunes, originals, utilizing both electric and acoustic guitar. Tommy Emmanuel is an honorary Kentucky Colonel, a CGP (Certified Guitar Player), an Order of Australia Medalist (AM) and the holder of an honorary Master's Degree (MA). DAVID GRISMAN David GrismanDawg's instrumental style found a home in 1974 when he formed the Great American Music Band with fiddler Richard Greene. "Nothing against singers," said David, "but it became apparent to me that I could play 90 minutes without one. Besides, Elvis never called." Within a year, David met guitar wizard Tony Rice, who moved to California where they started rehearsing a new group, the David Grisman Quintet (DGQ,) which also included violinist Darol Anger and bassist/mandolinist Todd Phillips. Since then the DGQ has featured such stellar notables as Svend Asmussen, Hal Blaine, Vassar Clements, Stephane Grappelli, Mike Marshall, Andy Statman and Frank Vignola. The current lineup now know as the David Grisman Sextet includes bassist Jim Kerwin, flutist Matt Eakle, percussionist George Marsh, guitarist George Cole and fiddler Chad Manning.
