Friday July 28th, 2017 7-10pm Readymades—manufactured objects which have been modified, or not, by artists—have long been in the repertoire of several heralded Erie artists. Gathered here by curator and contributing new artist Alexa D. Potter is a selection of works from David Seitzinger, Francis T. Schanz, Abigail Adams Greenway and Brian Pardini that explore both the natural found object and the byproducts of material culture. Their creations provoke thought and humor, and offer new ways to understand the things we overlook everyday. Refreshments thanks to locally sponsored businesses. Music by Joseph Allen Popp.

PACA – PACA GALLERY, 2ND FLOOR, 1505 STATE ST. Friday July 28th, 2017 7-10pm Jamie Pirello, Erie native and painter, is returning to 1505 State Street with an exhibit of new works. Pirello uses mixed media and or oil. After working in New York State for fifteen years, Pirello will present 10-15 large works and 15-20 smaller works for this show. This exhibition includes figurative, mixed media work from several different series. In addition, works on paper by Erie artist, Richard Sadlier (1949-2017,) will be on exhibit for viewing and available for sale. Yes, you read that right - the shores of Lake Erie will not be so “shark free” this summer. FREE and open to the public, JAWS will be projected onto the big screen at 8:30pm just like the old days at the drive-in, except this time you’ll be parked on your beach blanket with your toes in the sand.
