A Downtown Mystery
The Shops at 123 Hay Street – Welcome to the town of Clue’VILLE where locals and visitors from neighboring towns and beyond regularly come to shop, dine and enjoy the activities and events for which our Cool Spring Downtown District is so well known. We are a pretty diverse community and have quite a few interesting characters you should meet. So let’s stroll down the street as I …. oh dear …. I see that I may have to give you bits of background that will come in handy. There - the man in the suit and vest -- Tartan McGreedy, a moneylender, whose offices are near the Cool Spring. He’s known to have business with the entire town. Some say he has profited in some nefarious deals and you don’t want to get on his bad side. Oh look, it’s Mrs. Penny Less. She has been down on luck since her husband passed away and has found herself in dire financial straits. Who would evict a grieving widow? We have Rob Diamond, the local jeweler. All engagement rings are purchased in his shop. He has a troubled past but has seemed to turn his life around and is back on the straight and narrow. Now that’s interesting! Rob Diamond has just been spotted coming out of Joy Pureheart’s shop? She is one of Clue’Ville’s antique dealers. From jewelry to furniture and even vintage finds, she runs one of the many antique and vintage shoppes in our Downtown District. Looks like they are engaged in an argument just as McGreedy has arrived at Pureheart’s shop. I wonder what that may have been all about? That’s all the time I have for today but will keep my ears to the street to give you more details when I return….
