Crossroads Village Apprentice Weekend
Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad – On July 29 & 30 you have the opportunity to meet the Village artisans and learn how they create their one-of-a-kind items. Discover what inspires them. Explore the history of their trades and understand why it’s important to them to keep their traditional 19th century skills alive. Then it’s your turn to try several different artisan crafts. You’ll never know how good you can be until the tools are in your hands. Sign up in the Attica Hotel on your way in. Time slots are available on a first-come-first-served basis while time slots and supplies last. Summer is in full bloom this weekend, and you’ll enjoy the beauty of it all -- from the gardens lovingly maintained by Genesee County Master Gardeners to the peaceful views of Mott Lake from the deck of the Genesee Bell. The Village homes, shops and trades buildings will be open for you to tour. For a special tree-top perspective, take a ride on our century-old Parker-designed Superior Wheel. Enjoy the thrill of a spin astride a restored hand-carved horse on our historic Parker-designed Carousel. Crossroads Village is the only place in the world where you can experience two of Parker’s famous vintage amusement rides side by side, still in full operations! It all happens during our special Apprentice Weekend at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad. The Village is open from 10 am to 5 pm
