Her soon to be released second alternative rock album of original material, “Closer to Red” illustrates the evolution of her artistry and musicianship. The musicians whom have come together to create “Closer to Red” include Dave Schulz of the Goo Goo Dolls, and Berlin, Durga Mc Broom of Pink Floyd, Fernando Perdomo of Dreaming in Stereo and guitar player for Jakob Dylan and countless other huge talents, and David Goodstein (Jackson Browne and Nil Lara). She has played a number of charity events including fund raisers for the American Cancer Society and the Kristy House Women's Shelter. Songs off of “Masquerade" are played on 25+ college radio stations all over the US. While attending Miami Beach Senior High school at age 15, Jennifer's path ?rst crossed with fellow student Fernando Perdomo of Miami-based group Dreaming In Stereo. Their common love of music sparked a natural chemistry which culminated in a series of acoustic gigs in 2001 where they were featured at the prestigious, but shortlived, Billboard Live in Miami Beach. From their early association, Perdomo made for a natural ?t as the co-producer on “Masquerade” and “Closer to Red”. Her musical talent is part of her being, and she looks forward to releasing her next album! Carey Peak Fernando Perdomo Bio: Fernando Perdomo is a Miami to LA transplant who lives and breathes music. A veteran at 35, he has made a name for himself as an in demand Producer, Songwriter, and Multi-Instrumentalist. Fernando also will be on the companion album of the project that will come out Summer 2017. Dave Schulz Bio: Music was a part of Dave Schulzs life from the beginning. Born in Buffalo, NY, his father wore two hats as pianist and conductor of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. His father would seat him in the orchestra pit during performances as early as seven years old. His brother Robert would soon become a Grammy-nominated classical percussionist, and his sister an accomplished rock/soul singer. Shortly after his fathers passing when Dave was 10, he suddenly took an interest in the piano that was sitting idly in the living room. Osmosis? Within six months Dave had mastered the C Sonata by Mozart, and began an obsession with Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and, of all things, DEVO. Not too bad for an 11 year old. He obviously made the right choice. By the age of 17, he was one of the top keyboardists in his hometown, winning multiple awards consistently for seven years. Finally the big break came, when Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls called and left a simple message from sunny LA: you wanna come out and tour with us for a year? In a matter of one day Dave went from playing in front of 300 in a local Buffalo bar to playing Woodstock in front of 60000. This led to a two-and-a-half year relationship with the Goo Goo Dolls that took Dave around the world twice as touring keyboardist/vocalist for the Dizzy Up The Girl tour, the landmark album that spawned five top ten singles between 98 and 2000. That experience sealed his fate. Where else do you get to open up for the Rolling Stones? Since then Dave moved to Los Angeles, touring/performing/recording with a diverse array of artists running the musical spectrum: Goo Goo Dolls, Fuel, The Chambers Brothers, Jay-J, Sleepy Brown, English Beat, Bran Van 3000, General Public, Berlin, Ryan Cabrera, Bo Diddley, Daniel Morones, Jihad Jerry and the Evildoers (DEVO founder's solo project), Glenn Hughes, Justin Lanning, XYZ, Bernard Fowler, One Tribe Nation, Phil Upchurch, Meleni, Fastball, The Rembrandts, Carmen and Camille, Hilary Hawn, When In Rome, Mesner, Michael Mccarthy and the Beautiful Fools, DJ Eric Ill, Last Conservative, Mitch Perry, Warrant, Tenley, Maceo Parker, Derek Sholl, John Romano, Hilary Hawn, Kristine W., Rachel Stacey, Stacey Michelle, Fabienne Shine, Duke Graham, Daniel Morones, Derek Sholl, The Fizzies, Sonny Cool, Miranda Frigon, Hensley, Gary Scheider and Andre Foxxe (P-Funk), and Eric Sardinas. Jazz at MOCA × Anibal Berraute
Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami – Free! Rain or Shine!! ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ANIBAL BERRAUTE Tango Fusion Anibal Berraute, Argentinean piano player, composer, arranger and producer, fuses tango with elements of other musical forms: the Uruguayan candombe with its African roots and argentinean rhythms, traditional country-folklore sounds, and American jazz among others, to come out with a new vibrant harmonic approach to a genre that in little over a century, transcended its humble beginnings, to reach the whole world and its concert halls to be finally declared “cultural patrimony of humanity” by the United Nations. Anibal Berraute brings to this project the experience of having been a performing member of some of the best orchestral units of the genre, not to mention his exceptional talent as a composer, arranger, conductor and skills as a producer for some of the leading talents in the music industry. Anibal Berraute chose for his first Tango Fusion’s recording repertoire, a lesser-known works by Astor Piazzola (the iconic figure responsible for a musical revolution called “New Tango”). “Concierto de Nacar,” is a concert for bandoneon and symphony orchestra done in a special arrangement for his quintet. Another interesting cut in the recording is a tango version of the American jazz standard “Green Dolphin Street,” in which the members of the group take turns improvising on the main theme, in the spirit of a jazz combo. The group’s repertoire also includes more traditional tangos rearranged and incorporating vocabulary that allows the group to explore intricate harmonies while building on the music’s history. Finally, the group plays some of Berraute’s original compositions. Several of these pieces are performed with improvisational sections that allow the individual musician to fuse other genres within the tango. Through this organic and uncertain improvisational approach, coupled with individual virtuosity, Anibal Berraute – Tango Fusion delivers an exciting experience that keeps an audience at the edge of their seats. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
