North Central Florida YMCA – Ages: K-6th Time: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm Days: November 20 - 22, 2017 Fees: $75 for the week Registration is required for each day. UF CVS - Blaze Pizza Fundraiser
UF Collegiate Veterans Society – We know the Monday before Thanksgiving break, starving college students across Gainesville are just trying to survive, scrapping by before they go home and scarf down unlimitied Turkey and stuffing. We also know that everyone loves the unlimited toppings at Blaze Pizza! Well, don’t worry about buying more groceries those last final days because we have a solution for you! Come treat yourself to some delicious pizza while you help support your local veterans! 20% of every order (excluding alcohol) will go to support the Gator s Veterans. So come on our Gator Nation and "Chomp" down some delicious pizza! This fundraiser is a general fundraiser for our club, the UF Collegiate Veterans Society, and will help us in our mission to give back to our local community that gives so much to us.

Wednesday Bird Walks at the Wetlands
City of Gainesville - Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs (PRCA) – Discover the rich diversity of birds (and maybe some rarities!) at north-central Florida’s newest birding hotspot in a 2-3-hour walking tour. Birders of all levels welcome. The bird walk takes place at Sweetwater Wetlands Park, which is located on the south side of Gainesville, 3/4 mile east of the intersection of SW 13th Street/US 441 and Williston Road. Look for the sign on the south side of the road. Those interested will meet at the covered shelter by the parking lot. Bird walks will continue every Wednesday from September – May, at 8:30 a.m. Birding Field Trips will be led by volunteers from Alachua Audubon Society. Walks are free, but park admission is $5/car, $2 per person (bicyclists, pedestrians, buses) For more information on the Alachua Audubon Society, please visit http://www.alachuaaudubon.org/ .

Barnyard Buddies
City of Gainesville - Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs (PRCA) – Morningside Nature Center has a farm, ee—i—ee—i—oh! On this farm, youngsters, with an adult, can meet and greet farm animals by helping staff with afternoon feeding on the Living History Farm. This program is free but the animals love donations of carrots, squash, apples, sweet potatoes, and melons (please give these items to a staff member and not directly to the animals). With a sheep here—and a cow there—learning about heritage breeds is fun! This amazing program is completely FREE. Barnyard Buddies happens every Wednesday, Sept.–May, at 3:00 pm at the Living History Farm within Morningside Nature Center.
