Melt Method Classes on Sundays
TeamFootWorks – Science has revealed that most chronic pain in the body is caused by connective tissue dehydration and not necessarily muscle overuse or joint compression. New research has shown that daily living, just the repetition of our daily lives, the common postures and movements we engage in, cause dehydration in our connective tissue. Left unaddressed, this leads to stuck stress, the actual cause of chronic stiffness, aches, and pains. What’s been missing is a solution for us to address it ourselves. Discover how MELT rehydrates the connective tissue so that muscle aches or joint compression doesn’t begin. Regardless of your age, if you are an elite or recreational athlete, or you just want to feel better, MELT is a must! Learn how you can enjoy a pain-free active lifestyle. Join us at FootWorks Sunday October 22, 10-11 am for a MELT Method class. Space is limited. Register by clicking the red REGISTER NOW button below. Deering Estate – As part of the Speaking Sustainably Film Series, South Florida PBS (WPBT2 - WXEL) and the Deering Estate invite you to a complimentary reception and screening of the Changing Seas episode "Living Fossils" at the Deering Estate Visitor Center Theatre. Reception begins at 7pm with light snacks and beverages. The screening will begin at 7:30pm. Following the screening guests can participate in a Q&A with featured experts and the production crew. Event is free and open to the public. Episode Description: In the deep, dark waters off the coast of Roatan, Honduras, strange flowerlike animals flourish. These sea lilies and feather stars, known as Crinoids, have been around in various forms since before the age of dinosaurs. Experts from Nova Southeastern University and the University of Michigan are working together to gather basic information about the life history of crinoids, such as how long they live and how fast they grow. To gain access to the animals, they brave the ocean depths onboard “Idabel”, a submersible based in Roatan’s West End. Sub builder and pilot Karl Stanley has extensive knowledge of the areas he can access with “Idabel,” making it possible for the scientists to return to the same spots year after year to study the animals. This ability to study crinoids over an extended time period will result in new knowledge about these mysterious animals that flourish far removed from our human world.
