Auditions for “Shrek The Musical” and Preshow “Disney’s Lion King KIDs”
Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District – LET YOUR FREAK FLAG FLY! GHPRD, HART and HART Jr., along with the Choose Joy Players are extremely excited to announce our 2018 Summer Show lineup!! “Shrek The Musical” And as our children’s preshow; “Disney’s Lion King KIDs” Auditions will be held Saturday, January 20th from 9 AM to 5 PM And Sunday, January 21st from 1 PM to 5 PM. At St Clouds Commons. Show Dates are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, June 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th and July 1st, 6th, 7th, and 8th. All those auditioning are asked to prepare 30 seconds of a musical theatre song and we ask that you please dress appropriately as there will be some dancing involved! Cabell-Huntington CVB – One of the world’s most beloved stories, Sleeping Beauty, is told through ballet at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 7 pm. The State Ballet Theater of Russia’s full-scale production will feature 55 dancers, and is choreographed by Vladimir Vasiliev, former Principal Dancer with the Bolshoi Theater Ballet and “The Best Male Dancer of the 20th Century.” The State Ballet Theatre of Russia has established itself as one of Russia’s leading ballet companies by building an international reputation for delivering performances of outstanding quality and depth. Strength & Mobility Series - Neck & Shoulders
Studio 8 – Join Joan St Clair in this 4-part series as she shares what she's learned from 12 years of practicing yoga and 1,000's of hours of teaching as well as her recent studies in Yoga Therapeutics with Inner Peace Yoga. One of the most common requests in our yoga classes in poses to address neck and shoulder pain. Many of us spend our days with arms forward and head down, whether driving, at a desk, working with arms and lifting, it eventually results in neck and shoulder tension and reduced mobility, sometimes leading to forward head posture and headaches. In this class you'll learn stretches to improve mobility within the shoulder joint and to open the front body as well as ways to strengthen the upper back which will help restore or maintain postural alignment and prevent or reduce future neck and shoulder pain. Blow Your Own Water Bottle Classes (Online Signups Jan4 at 9am)
Blenko Glass Company – Make plans now to visit Blenko Glass on January 26 & 27, 2018 to experience the rare opportunity of making your own handmade hot glass. For these 2 days ONLY, with the help of our staff, we offer a limited number of participants the opportunity to blow their own iconic Blenko Water Bottle. The water Bottle is a form that has been featured in magazines, on TV and online. We have made it since 1938! Advance Registration Is Required, signups will begin Thursday January 4 at 9am EST and will be ONLINE ONLY. ALL reservations MUST be done online at https://www.eventbrite.com/o/blenko-glass-company-15709994523 Class space is limited. Class registration will be visible and available on the eventbrite link above starting January 4 at 9am EST ONLY. Spaces will fill quickly so if you are interested be certain to sign up early. We suggest you enroll as close to 9am EST on January 4 as possible. NO walk-in registrations at our office or factory and no call-in registrations will be accepted. No exceptions. The use of online registration is a new process for us. Classes cost $59 per participant. Participants must be 14 or older and you must wear safety glass (provided by us). No open toed shoes allowed on the factory floor so dress accordingly. If you cancel $10 of the registration is not refunded. Your water bottles will be available for pick-up at Blenko on or after February 6, 2018. Water bottles may also be shipped for an additional fee, that would also occur on or after February 6, 2018. We CAN NOT store glass items beyond February 20, 2018. Please arrange to have your items picked up no later than this date. Bridging the gap between modern science and traditional use, Travis will discuss herbs and supplements that he has watched help many in his over 14 years in the health and wellness industry. He will also offer some mindfulness based practices that have been used to calm the brain and body’s response to pain.
