Kyle Starks In Store Appearance
Comic Book University – Please welcome comic book writer/artist Kyle Starks to Comic Book University on Monday, November 20 from 2 pm to 8 pm. Kyle Starks is the Eisner nominated creator of Sexcastle, which was recently optioned to be made into a major motion picture. He's also written a bunch of other great stuff like Rick and Morty and Invader Zim and is generally recognized as a pretty good, laugh making, funny boy. His new book, Rock Candy Mountain, is a real hoot. He hails from Southern Indiana where he is married to the most wonderful woman and lucky father of the most fantastic little girls. Kyle will have Limited Edition Rick and Morty prints, sign autographs and be available to do original, one-of-a-kind sketches.

November Business Meeting - November 20th at 7 PM
Libertarian Party of Marion County – The Libertarian Party of Marion County will be holding our monthly business meeting on Monday, November 20th at 7 PM. This is our final business meeting of 2017, as we will have a holiday get together in December. Join us at the Antelope Club at 7pm on November 20th as we begin gearing up for the opportunites that 2018 and 2019 have waiting for us! This meeting has an important agenda item that you won't want to miss. We find ourselves with an opening on the Executive Board for the Secretary. Many thanks to our outgoing Secretary Angela Fisher Owens for her service this term, and we wish her the best as she moves to Cincinnati in 2018. At the November meeting, we will hold a special election to fill this vacancy.

Business Breakfast Series
Zionsville Chamber of Commerce – The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce's Business Breakfast Series is a monthly event where where business owners can network with their peers over light breakfast and listen to an engaging seminar given by a member of the business community. Each month, the topic for the seminar changes to offer attendees a wide variety of education opportunities. Executive Director of Witham Jeff Byrum and Dr. Daniel Kraft will present. Dr. Kraft will be speaking on Sports Medicine for all ages and advances in concussion treatment. This event is free to Zionsville Chamber members and first time guests. Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided. The Business Breakfast Series is sponsored by The National Bank of Indianapolis. Dr. Kraft feels fortunate to have a job in youth sports medicine, combining two of his greatest passions: caring for pediatric/adolescent patients and caring for athletes. For over 20 years, he has cared for Central Indiana’s young athletes both in the office and on the sidelines. An alumnus of Wabash College, Dr. Kraft received his medical degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine in 1989. He completed his pediatric residency at Riley Hospital/Indiana University, and followed with a fellowship in sports medicine at Methodist Sports Medicine Center in Indianapolis. Dr. Kraft is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Sports Medicine. He specializes in non-operative care of musculoskeletal and sports medicine injuries in pediatric and adolescent patients. Concussion management in athletes has been and remains an integral part of his practice. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Indiana University and is team physician at Warren Central. Dr. Kraft is also member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP-Sports Medicine Section), the American College of Sports Medicine, and the Indiana State Pediatric Society. He is chairman of the Committee on Sports Medicine for the Indiana chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Story Time on the Reservoir - A Very Quiet Cricket
Indy Parks and Recreation – Observe some real crickets and see how quiet they are after reading this childhood favorite. Since participants can move through the stations at their own pace, this program can accommodate a wide variety of ages, but it is most recommended for ages 2-6. This program is free with park admission and an adult must stay for the duration of the program. When the weather is too cold or windy, we will meet in the Earth Discovery Center. If we have good weather, we will meet at the EDC shelter nearby.

Indiana Needs a Hate Crime Law Press Conference
Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana – Calling all journalists, media, and supporters of a hate crime law being passed in Indiana! Indiana remains one of only five states which has not passed a hate crime law to adequately provide justice for those targeted and harmed. The Central Indiana Alliance Against Hate (“Alliance”) will be joining other concerned citizens and organizations to host a press conference on the General Assembly’s Organization Day (Tuesday, November 21, 2017). Its purpose is to raise needed attention to our lack of hate crime law and demand state legislators pass a law during the 2018 General Assembly. The press conference will take place in the south atrium of the Indiana State Capitol/Statehouse on the second floor between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. We need your attendance to show support of a hate crime law being passed in our Hoosier state! Speakers and an agenda for the press conference will be announced soon. Attendees are free to attend to show support. Please bring signs! An ASL interpreter will be available at this event.
