Parent Support Committee Meeting
Brevard Academy for Individual Excellence – BA is excited to announce the first meeting of the Parent Support Committee (PSC) for the 2017-2018 school year. The goal of the PSC is to support BA students through volunteering, fundraising, parent feedback, and more. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. The PSC September meeting is September 25 at 6:30 PM. This month's meeting will review the final accredidation walk through from the week prior and work on our October Field Day event. Parking is available in front of the building and behind the building in the grass parking lot. Please remember not to park in front or behind La-Z-Boy Furniture. There is no child care available on site, so please make sure you make other arrangements for your children. We look forward to seeing you there!

BA Chick-fil-A Spirit Night
Brevard Academy for Individual Excellence – Join us Tuesday, September 26 for Spirit Night at the Chick-fil-A on Palm Bay Road from 5:00-8:00 PM! It will be a great night of games, food, and fun with your school family! Don't forget to stop by the game table during the event! Be sure to bring your quarters to participate in a bean bag toss game for a chance to win a Chick-fil-A prize. If you buy a dessert, you can turn in your receipt at the table to be entered in to win a dinner for 4! Brevard Academy homerooms are having a friendly competition at Spirit Night. The class with the highest percentage of students in attendance win a cookie party the next day at school. If you are pressed for time, feel free to just go through the drive-through. His firm includes experienced patent attorneys and a patent agent which specialize in all patentable technology areas. Brian Steinberger has personally prosecuted over 1,500 patents and has prosecuted over 1,400 federal trademarks through the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Brian was formerly a Senior Primary Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent Office for many years before starting his practice in Brevard County. He has taught intellectual property classes for the University of Central Florida Small Business Development Center for over 18 years and also the UCF Incubation Program, and has authored many articles for newspapers and technical journals on intellectual property over the years. SOAK Supporting Our ASD Kids, Inc - Autism Organization – Chuck E. Cheese's now offers a sensory-friendly experience on the first Sunday of every month. Our trained and caring staff is there to make sure families who have children with autism and special needs have a fun filled visit. The Sensory Sensitive Sundays Experience Includes: 1. Less crowding and noise. 2. Dimmed lighting. 3. Show and music turned off or down 4. Limited appearances by Chuck E. (Or none) 5. Food and games are offered, however parents are permitted to bring snacks for their children if needed due to dietary restrictions during Sensory Sensitive Sundays.
