Florentine Off Stage: A Meet the Artists Party
Florentine Opera Company – Enjoy a glass of wine after work and meet the artists and instruments of Venus and Adonis/Dido and Aeneas! Learn what makes this Baroque double-bill extra special with a behind-the-scenes look at the authentic ensemble of Baroque instruments featured in the production. Dr. Timothy Sterner Miller from UWM Peck School of the Arts will demonstrate and discuss Baroque pitch, tuning and dynamics. World-renowned harpsichordist and conductor Jory Vinikour will introduce the harpsichord. Following the demonstration and reception, guests may stay for the beginning of rehearsal. Tickets are $20 and include a glass of sparkling wine/beverage and a light appetizer. The event takes place at the Wayne and Kristine Lueders Florentine Opera Center in Riverwest.

Parent and Play is a weekly drop-in group where moms, dads and children can gather together for conversation and support. Each week we will offer a gathering time, seasonal story, crafts, activities and toys! Our group leader, Sofi Thorn, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, who is currently a stay at home mom.
