Older Kids Art Camp
Central California Art Association & The Mistlin Gallery – Join us for a week of exploration into the art of mixed media and “Assemblage’! Start a personal journey with an art journal sketchbook. Create a self portrait and make a plaster mask of your face. Each day students will be introduced to a new mixed media project and will ”gather” inspiration from a variety of materials including graphite, pens, water color and acrylic paint, paper, and found objects. For the final project students will make a finished art piece “Assemblage” from their assortment of found objects and drawings on to a 12X12 panel. Students will learn about basic art techniques and elements of art.

Inspiring Women in Art – Helen Frankenthaler
Central California Art Association & The Mistlin Gallery – Join Susan Rossmann on the 4th Thursday of the month as she shares the techniques and accomplishments of the “Wonder Women" of art! Each month we will discuss a different artist(s) and create a work of art inspired by their ideas and imagery. Cost: $25.00, all materials provided including refreshments. The female artists Helen Frankenthaler, Elaine de Kooning, Lee Krasner, and Joan Mitchell, played major roles in the development of Abstract Expressionism which flourished in New York and San Francisco in the 1940s and 1950s, and has been recognized as the first fully American modern art movement. Together we’ll explore the techniques, concerns and legacies of these women and create our own painting using the expressive freedom of direct gesture.

The Stylistics Live at the Gallo Center
Gallo Center for The Arts – Along with The O'Jays, The Spinners and The Delfonics, the Stylistics are one of the groups that helped define the music coming out of the City of Philadelphia beginning in the 1970s. Power TeamGym Tryout's Mini Tramp Tumbling and Vaulting
Backus Performance – The teamgym season runs from December through May for Level 2*, and through June/July for Levels 3-7*. Each gymnast inlevels 1-3 is required, in addition to Thursday night team night, to take two additional 90 minute classes. Each gymnast in levels 2-5 are required to attend 3 days a week. A portion of each teams weekly practice will be dedicated to strength and conditioning. *Levels 3-7 may or may not continue to Nationals in June depending on the decision of the club and/or their scoring and USA Gymnastics National ranking. In order to continue on to Nationals the specified teams are required to achieve their levels Nationals qualifying score or higher by the last meet in April. *There is a possibility for a Level 3 team to travel to Nationals in June. This decision will be made by the Team Gym coaches based on their performance, scores, readiness & experience of the athletes on the team. Practice Schedule All levels August will be Team Tryouts. Thursdays 4:30 -7:30 ......$150 Must beable to attend 3 out of the 4 practices. Dates are Aug 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st.
