ZADT Summer Series Presents: Chasing Mother Goose
Children's Theatre of Hampton Roads – CTHR will be taking part of Zeiders American Dream Theater's Summer Series! You can catch our production "Chasing Mother Goose" every Sunday from July 2 through August 6! The venerable poet Mother Goose currently presides over a library that houses every piece of literature in existence. Day and night she does her best to keep order and ensure peace among the shelves. But even under her no-nonsense watch, the books have a tendency to get out of hand. On a seemingly quiet night, the White Rabbit from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland shows up (with the mad Hatter close behind), and when a copy of Moby Dick is returned with pages missing, Captain Ahab arrives to wreak vengeance on the creature that took his leg. Only, the pages that say what type of creature are, well, missing. Which poses a problem for our beloved characters. Mother Goose and the Hatter have no choice but to comb the other books for Ahab’s missing pages and put him back together before the library opens in the morning. On their way they’ll traverse such works as Treasure Island, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Grimm’s Fairy Tales, and many more, all the while fleeing the amnesic Ahab on his misguided mission! This hilariously creative play, rich with audience interaction and touching moments, is the perfect theatre event for the whole family! The shows begin at 2pm and all tickets are only $10. For more information on this and other performances, visit or

Chesapeake Sons
Ferguson Center for the Arts – Hailing from coastal Maryland, Jason Morton and Brett Wilmer of Chesapeake Sons bring a rejuvenating edge as well as tight harmonies to country music. Citing influences like the Black Crowes, Chesapeake Sons have a unique and refreshing style. They can rock out on guitar like Lynyrd Skynyrd with explosive crescendos, but are still able to sing to the hearts of many with their vulnerable ballads. Chesapeake Sons has held their own, opening for ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kid Rock, Eric Church, Shooter Jennings and many others. From entering a contest and being handpicked by Slash as an opening act, to being the only band picked by Paul McCartney’s manager to represent the U.S. in a Lithuanian Music Festival, these guys have rocked with legends and are ready to show country music what they are made of. A special thank you to our sponsors: Riverside Performing Arts Medicine Hilton Garden Inn - KIln Creek

The Australian Pink Floyd Show - The Best Side of the Moon 2017
Portsmouth Pavilion – The most important Australian band of all time is Pink Floyd. The closest possible solution to a reunion is The Australian Pink Floyd returning to Portsmouth Pavilion, Sunday, July 23. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m., and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Australian Pink Floyd performed last year in Portsmouth and is one of the most requested bands people have asked to return. Selling 4 million tickets worldwide and described by The Times as “The Gold Standard” and The Daily Mirror as “The Kings of the Genre”, The Australian Pink Floyd Show gave its first ever concert in Adelaide, Australia in 1988. Since then, they have performed in over 35 countries worldwide; played at David Gilmour’s 50th birthday celebration and were even joined on stage by Rick Wright. TAPFS is the leading and biggest show of its kind in the world. Performing the music of Pink Floyd with note for note perfection, this critically acclaimed tribute show has been astonishing audiences worldwide. Striving to reproduce the Pink Floyd experience and bring the music to new audiences, the show continues to include a stunning light and laser show, video animations, state of the art high resolution LED screen technology and other special effects. To accompany these visuals are several large inflatables including a giant pig and their own distinct Pink Kangaroo. They have also worked with musicians like Guy Pratt, Durga McBroom and her sister Lorelei McBroom who have toured with Pink Floyd, as well as sound engineer Colin Norfield who worked with Pink Floyd during their ‘Division Bell’ tour and on David Gilmour’s solo tours. Often described as being more than a tribute band, The Australian Pink Floyd Show is the first Pink Floyd tribute show that took the concept out of the pubs and onto the worldwide arena circuit. The band has played to sell out audiences throughout Europe, UK, America, Canada, South America, Israel and Russia. With 29 years of history, the world’s biggest, best and greatest Pink Floyd tribute show continues to delight its global fan base. “Setting the gold standard” – The Times “For the record TAPFS are a phenomenon to be witnessed live… It’s almost enough to make you forget you haven’t been watching Pink Floyd, but a surrogate band” - Prog “Probably the most popular tribute band in the world” - Sunday Times ‘Culture’ NEW FOR 2017 The Australian Pink Floyd Show returns in 2017 with a new set of Pink Floyd songs - 'The Best Side Of The Moon’ incorporating a full performance of what many would call the most iconic rock album of all time. In 2017 we will play the classic Dark Side of the Moon album in its entirety as well as some of the most popular songs from the Syd Barrett years, Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, The Final Cut, Momentary Lapse of Reason and the Division Bell. Building on our continuing success in Europe and the United States in 2016 we will bring a fabulous laser and light show, special filmed footage and original animation onto a large high resolution LED screen, inflatables such as Skippy (our Pink Kangaroo), The Teacher and Pig and a 10-piece band playing the songs with all the note for note attention to detail and sound that has been honed of almost 30 years of performances. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Portsmouth Pavilion Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, charge by phone at 800.745.3000 or purchase online at Orchestra One tickets are $54.75.
