Books & Bites: Author Workshop with Milinda Jay
Bay County Public Library – Milinda Jay Stephenson, author and Creative Writing Professor at FSU Panama City, is teaching a Writing Your Family Story workshop at the library. Annie Laura's Triumph, Milinda Jay's family-story-turned-fiction, was published in 2016 by Mercer University Press. Light refreshments provided. The workshop is free and open to the public. Bring paper and pencil. Program sponsored by the Friends of the Bay County Public Libraries.

Kevin Mills in Concert
Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church – We are excited to welcome back Kevin Mills for the 26th Church and the Arts Concert Series. Canadian country singer Kevin Mills unashamedly sings hymns, Southern gospel tunes, and classic jazz standards. The son of a traveling evangelist, for 15 years he opened for his father as a soloist at countless evangelistic meetings and tent missions. Since then Kevin has worked extensively in the music, radio, and voice-over industry. Kevin is currently working with Song Garden Music Group/Grapevine Records of Nashville. General admission tickets are $10 at door. Proceeds benefit the food pantry at Gulf Beach Presbyterian.

Teen Advisory Board
Bay County Public Library – For TEENS in grades 6-12! Teen Advisory Board meets once every 2 months to help out the Library by telling us what teens want! This includes what books and movies they want for the collection and what programs we should have for teens. Volunteer hours can be earned doing this if our TAB formed is filled out and brought back. (Just stop by to pick up a copy or print one from our website). We also eat snacks and play games!

Science Spot for Tots - Magnets
Science and Discovery Center of Northwest Florida – These classes are geared toward the 2-5 age group, but we welcome all ages. The activities are adaptable so that children of many ages and abilities can participate; and kids of all ages enjoy our fabulous exhibits and play areas! Membership Price: Member Price: $4 for 1st child, $2 for each additional child* Non-Member Price: $6 /child, $3 additional child* Accompanying adults are free! *This includes admission to the museum for the whole day! This will be our last class of the year! Keep an eye out for our Spring schedule.

Japan 2019: Music In the Land of the Rising Sun Info Mtg.
Bay High School's "Million Dollar Band" – We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a musical exploration trip to the Land of the Rising Sun from June 22, 2019-July 1, 2019! On January 23rd at 6pm we will host a representative from WorldStrides for an informational meeting about this trip here at Bay High School. WorldStrides OnStage has already taken the Bay Band on many trips and we know this one will live up to our every expectation in terms of safety, professionalism, educational value, and uniqueness. Our students will have this once in a lifetime opportunity to meet other student musicians in a new country as they broaden their understanding of people around the globe. They will work with their Japanese counterparts to learn new approaches to musical mastery and have the once in a lifetime chance to perform with a collective group of Japanese musicians during our visit. Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church – The Hospitality Committee is holding a fundraising dinner. The theme for this dinner is Souper Bowl of Sharing.
