Help Us Seal the L.A. Metro Electric Bus Deal!
Food & Water Watch - California – Congress and trump aren't addressing climate change, but YOU can! JOIN the L.A. County Electric Bus Coalition Thursday, July 27th, and help us seal the L.A. Metro 100% Zero Emissions Electric Bus deal. L.A. Metro has long been a leader in moving to cleaner fuels for its bus fleet. NOW it’s time to make the next move. Let's retire our dirty, natural gas-fueled buses and transition to new all-electric powered ones. Electric buses will help improve our air quality, create good local jobs and careers, enhance social equity, dramatically improve the rider experience, and enhance L.A.'s climate leadership. These are exciting times for clean transport advocates in Los Angeles. Just last month, L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti wrote a letter to Metro CEO Philip A. Washington in support of transitioning L.A. Metro to 100% Zero-emissions electric buses by 2030 (http://tinyurl.com/ybahoec7). More recently, the Metro staff put together a plan to make this tranistion happen. Now it’s time for the Board to make this an official policy. Here's Where YOU Come In On Thursday, July 27th, we'll be out in full force for the next Metro Board Meeting. We'll be holding a rally outside before the board meeting starts, and, with YOUR help, we'll be packing the Metro Board Room full with people who want Electric buses afterwards. Every seat we fill brings us closer to transitioning Metro's fleet of buses off of dirty natural gas and onto 100% zero emissions electric buses. Will you join us Thursday, July 27th, and help send us send a message to the Metro Board it's time to seal the deal and commit to 100% zero emission electric buses TODAY? Here's the plan: WHO: YOU, the L.A. Country Electric Bus Coalition, clean transport advocates, electric vehicle fans, etc. WHEN: Thursday, July 27th WHERE: The Metro Building, One Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90012 WHAT: Rally -- We'll be rallying outside of the Metro Building at 8:00 am. Board Meeting -- We'll be heading up to the 9:00 am board meeting on the third floor after the rally. It's time to leave dirty fuels like natural gas in the past where they belong and embrace clean transport like 100% zero emission electric buses. With YOUR help, we can make this happen NOW! We look forward to seeing YOU Thursday, July 27th! The LA County Electric Bus Coalition unites in urging L.A. Metro to continue its leadership and commit TODAY to replacing its polluting bus fleet with 100% electric buses no later than 2030. The coalition includes American Lung Association in California, Earthjustice, Environment California Research & Policy Center, Food & Water Watch - California, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 11, Jobs to Move America, SoCal Sierra Club and South Bay Los Angeles 350 Climate Action Group. We welcome your support and involvement.

With it which it as it if it is to be: A film by Eve Fowler
MOCA | The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles – ?Eve Fowler’s film with it which it as it if it is to be is an intimate study of the working practices of artists captured in their studios. Partially scripted as a feminist critique, the film features artists reading off-screen from queer feminist icon and writer Gertrude Stein’s short story Many Many Women. Part of a larger project informed by Stein’s writing, Fowler’s with it which it as it if it is to be is a film that seeks to bring Stein’s writing forward into the contemporary moment.
