Mentor Appreciation Dinner
FRIENDS FIRST – FRIENDS FIRST, the Pueblo Mentoring Collaborative and Pueblo County United Way have partnered to bring dynamic speaker Keith Davis for an event to celebrate mentoring in Colorado on January 30. Keith is a former college and professional football player who has appeared on ESPN, ABC, USA Today, and Sports Illustrated. He is also an entrepreneur, educator and speaker, having spoken in over 9,000 schools, universities, and corporations. Keith’s greatest investment is people. His mission is to help, heal, inspire, and motivate them. He strives to help people unlock the true greatness that lies within them, and become all that they were designed and destined to become. His own life story led him to this role. Before achieving such recognized academic and athletic success, Keith had to fight through great adversity and struggle. He was born in the rough inner city of Los Angeles, and was a struggling remedial reading student who attended 19 different schools before graduating from high school. He had lost his father to suicide by the time he was 4 years old. Drug abuse was very real in his extended family. Perseverance, determination, and faith became a focal point of Keith’s life. He truly began to understand at a young age what it meant to have a clear and defined ‘VISION’ for his education, his life and his future. His presentation is one you will remember for a long time! This is a FREE event with a free dinner! Don't miss it! Please RSVP to the Pueblo Mentoring Collaborative by emailing pmc.pueblo@gmail.com
