Fall Equinox Mala & 108 Sun Salutations
Yogablyss – Fall Equinox Mala & 108 Sun Salutations Sunday, September 24, 2017 10am-12pm Celebrate the fall equinox with 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar honoring the sustaining power of the one sun that illuminates our many lives, truths and purposes. Practicing a Yoga Mala as a movement meditation traditionally marks the shift of the season within and without as we create sacred space for our emerging intentions. This sacred juncture of the fall equinox to create space for peace within our bodies, minds, hearts and communities as we enter into fall. The endings or completions are especially important during this season and especially in light of changes that may be occurring in your life. Acknowledge the changes and honor the endings that are coming about because of them. Weather permitting we will practice outside.

Cooking Event: Debbie Moose
Page 158 Books – Whether it's Grandma's special holiday cake, that uncle's tasty barbecue sauce or that aunt's deviled eggs which make the reunion spread complete, every family has cherished recipes. But if those recipes aren't written down, they can be lost, along with the memories that go with them. This workshop will help you get started on a family cookbook, including getting the project going, organizational tips and writing clear recipes that generations to come will be able to follow. If you're interested in genealogy, food can be a good way to get family members talking about family history, too. If you've started a family cookbook or have an idea, bring them along! Informational handouts will be available to take home. This event is $15/person. Debbie Moose Debbie is a former food editor for The News & Observer and an award-winning food essay writer. Her latest cookbook is "Southern Holidays: A Savor the South Cookbook." Her seventh cookbook will be published by UNC Press in spring 2018.
