Pig Minds Brewing Comedy Night
Pig Minds Brewing Co. – Pig Minds Brewing Co. Comedy Night Friday March 30th 2018 #FREE Show starts at 8:30pm It is highly recommended to get there early to get a seat for the show. Host: Rebekah Gibson Guest Feature: Jamie Martin Main Feature: Ed Towns Headliner: Brandon Kieffer Host Rebekah Gibson was raised in Wisconsin and started performing stand up in local Wisconsin bars and coffee shops. Now residing in Chicago, she is quickly making a name for herself performing all over the Midwest. In 2016, she opened for Randy and Mr. Lahey from The Trailer Park Boys and the cast of Jackass. Guest Feature Jamie Martin is a local comedy "Jobber" and open mic vagabond you may have seen around the stateline area. Aside from being his Mothers favorite comedian his quick wits and dynamic play on words will leave you in a state of laughter and disbelief. Main Feature Ed Towns has a real love and passion for comedy. Throughout his life, he's always admired true professionals with a gift for invoking their ideas to a crowd through humor. This was never a reality for Ed until his high school English teacher, comedian and mentor Bill Gorgo opened his eye during a class about stand-up comedy. It took several years but Ed's courage finally came to the forefront and he hit the stage for the first time and instantly fell in love. Now, Ed entertains and makes people laugh with his cynically honest views on relationships, current events, religion, sexuality, and his family. Nothing is off limits as audiences get a peak into Ed's life and all the hilarity it ensues. Ed has worked for a number of touring comics seen on TV such as Felonious Munk (Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show), Josh Johnson (The Tonight show with Jimmy Fallon), and Chris Redd (Saturday Night Live) just to name a few. Ed has been mentioned in the Chicago Red Eye as “6 must-see comedy shows of the week” and also is a co producer of the legendary showcase Stand Up Stand Up at The Laugh Factory every first Thursdays of the month. Headliner Brandon Kieffer is a Chicago based comedian that grew up in the deep woods of Georgia. His set consist of material about his family, growing up in Georgia and breaking into stuff as a Locksmith in Chicago. Normally, this bio includes that Brandon was briefly hired as the warm up comedian for the Paula Deen Cooking Show, but that isn't a good comedy credit anymore.
