Dow Gardens – Enjoy listening to music in the dappled shade of the Birch Grove. You're invited to bring your lunch and a chair/blanket and drop by. Included with your admission or purchase of an annual pass. Makin Bacon food truck will be stationed outside the Visitor's Center selling bacon delights from 11:00AM - 1:00PM. Toddler Time - Afternoon
Mid-Michigan Children's Museum – Sing, dance, create and explore with us! Bring your toddler (children up to 4 years old) and enjoy projects targeting them right where they are at developmentally. Toddler Time is designed for toddler-sized attention spans and is led by SVSU Occupational Therapy students – trained in recognizing unique developmental stages and abilities, including fine and gross motor skills, language development and socialization.

Chippewa Nature Center – Venture out to the Nature Center to learn how to orient yourself in nature. We will start with some compass 101, then move into using compasses with maps. Chippewa Nature Center – WALK MIDLAND is a community walking program that emphasizes the importance of walking and wellness in our community. Drawings for prizes will be held at each two-mile walk. In addition, participants will be registered at each walk for the grand prize trip for two to Mackinac Island over Labor Day weekend to walk the Mackinac Bridge. This drawing will be held on Thursday, July 28. This one of a kind trip includes a stay at the Grand Hotel, world-renown meals and activities in conjunction with the Hotel’s “Jazzy Weekend.” All weekly walks begin at 6 pm. Captured Community invites you to indulge your inner artist and take a little time out of your busy schedule for yourself and just CREATE. We have gathered an amazing circle of uber-talented artists to guide you through a personalized, beautiful, and on-trend work of art of your very own. NO ARTISTIC TALENT NECESSARY! This is all about fun YOU time. Come, settle in and be guided through creating your own painting, completed and ready to take home at the end of the class. Bring your favorite non-alcoholic drink to sip and a snack or two and get ready to soak in a little creativity. Grab a friend or two (or three) and make it a fun night out! **Evening class are open to painters ages 15 and up unless otherwise noted. Day time classes are for the whole family! Freezing and Blanching
Dow Gardens – Learn about blanching and freezing in the Children’s Garden. Lisa Treiber, Food Safety Extension Educator from MSU Extension will be providing a blanching and freezing demonstration, explaining how easy it is to preserve your summer produce. Learn the techniques and times required to properly preserve the wonderful flavors of the season and receive materials to use at home. Choose from 10:00AM or 6:30PM classes. Included with your admission to Dow Gardens or purchase of an annual pass. This is a drop-in class. Registration is not required!

Incredible Insects Family Yoga
Chippewa Nature Center – There's a natural connection between nature and yoga, so CNC and Well-Bean are teaming up to provide a program that blends yoga, nature, education, cooperative games, breathing and relaxation! This fun and interactive program is designed to bring families together to nurture relationships and an appreciation of the outdoors. Classes will be held outside adjacent to the Visitor Center and will be moved indoors in case of rain. Please bring a towel or yoga mat for each family member. This program is free, but space is limited, so registration is required for each session. Saginaw Bay by Voyageur Canoe
Chippewa Nature Center – Join Tom Lenon for an exciting adventure as we paddle the Saginaw Bay in a 29-foot Voyageur canoe! The canoe is a fiberglass reproduction of the birchbark canoes used by voyageurs to haul loads of trade goods and valuable animal pelts in the 18th and 19th centuries. During the trip, we'll explore the natural and cultural resources of the area and share stories of the past, all while having a truly unique outdoor experience. If weather or water conditions are not favorable, this trip will be canceled (determined the afternoon of the trip at CNC's discretion) and participants will be refunded. Open Create Night
Captured Community – EXPANDED HOURS! Tues and Thurs 10-2 and EVERY Thurs night, 6:30-8:30. Need a little Art Therapy? If you'd like to paint something - anything - we'll have the supplies here, starting at just $10. Bring in your own supplies for any project and hang out and create with us for just a $2 cover charge. Want to bring your guitar and have a mini jam session? Please do, we'd LOVE it! Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-2, and Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30. If you're looking for some art therapy, fun company, suggestions or encouragement this is the place to be. The only thing you won't find is a structured class with an agenda. If you'd like to paint one of our canvases or pallet boards please let us know so that we are prepared with supplies and any custom templates. Walk-ins are also welcome as long as space permits. Only those who have pre-registered and paid will be guaranteed a seat. We look forward to creating with you!!

Tunes by the Tridge - The Resonators
Midland Parks and Recreation – Families will want to bring quilts and lawn chairs Thursday evenings and enjoy listening to bands perform next to the Tridge this summer. These performances are FREE to all and are presented through the cooperation of the City of Midland Parks and Recreation, local businesses and radio stations. The bands will play from 7-9pm. Your favorite food vendors, Bugbee Kettlecorn, Cottage Creamery, Midland Burger Company, Olvera's BBQ and Timbers Bistro will be on-site.
