Weekly Quran Circle: Surah Dukhan (The Smoke) - part 2
GWU Muslim Students' Association – Salaams everyone! Remember, now we meet Mondays at 7pm at the GW Musallah in Marvin Center Room 406! Monday, October 23rd Sûrah: 44 Dukhan {The Smoke} Chronological Order: 64 Assigned Verses: Ayahs 30-59 Summary: A people may be given all blessings and may fail in its trust, as did Israel: will the Quraysh learn the lesson of Good and Evil? --- The weekly Qur'an halaqas are open personal reflections of the group, and are facilitated by Chaplain Meraj Allahrakha. Since this is personal reflection, there are no wrong answers or unwelcomed interpretations. There will be SEVERAL copies of different translations/interpretations of the Quran, but since this will be a weekly occurrence, a personal copy might be useful. Don't have one? We should remedy that! The goal of this halaqa is to cultivate a personal relationship with the Book of Allah, in a manner that brings it to life more than just a history or textbook.
