Tinker Workshops
The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures – Tinker Workshops at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures are for little hands and big imaginations. Join us this summer to create, build, explore and learn in this art-based makerspace. A variety of mixed-media and recycled materials allow for endless ‘make and take’ creations. Tinker Workshops are a drop-in program for children ages 5 and up at the museum. Every Thursday in July from 1:00PM until 4:00PM $3 per child with museum admission ($2 per child for museum members or Family Summer Pass holders) Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets may be purchased at the museum.

PreK-3 Meet & Greet Open House
Presidio School – For new and returning students in grades PreK-3 Presidio is hosting a Get Acquainted Open House or Meet & Greet on Thursday, July 27th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Grades K-1 at 1615 E. Ft. Lowell and Grades 2-3 at 1695 E. Fort Lowell. On that date, parents and children are invited to come to the school, visit classrooms and meet their teachers. Presidio School uniform shirts and communication folders will be available for purchase. ? Meet your student’s teachers ? Parents need to sign loan agreement for textbooks (Grades 4-12) ? Pick up a list of needed school supplies & purchase uniforms ? Meet fellow members of the Presidio Family ? Join the Presidio School Parent Committee ? Save A Life, Don't Give Up- Compression Only CPR
The Core at La Encantada – Would you know what to do if a loved one – or even a total stranger – suddenly collapsed nearby? When real estate broker Gary Brauchla’s heart stopped in 2012, his wife knew to immediately begin CPR until rescuers could arrive. Join Gary as he shares his story of survival and teaches you two life-savings steps: Call 911 and push hard and fast on the chest in uninterrupted rhythm to the Bee Gees hit “Stayin’ Alive.” You will get the opportunity to practice this technique on mannequins during the class. This is not a certified CPR class but serves as a great refresher or introduction to this live savings technique. You do not have to have CPR certification to participate.
