Durga Puja Retreat · Bring the Goddess Alive: Igniting the Shakt
Kashi Atlanta Ashram – with Swami Jaya Devi September 29 – October 1 · Kashi Ashram, Sebastian, Florida The deeper dimensions of yoga are designed to bring the Goddess to life within us, to awaken the core feeling of aliveness, or shakti, that is us. This is the Mother, our connection to unconditional love that resonates in us every moment. Kashi Atlanta satsang will travel with Swami Jaya Devi to Kashi Ashram in Sebastian, Florida. Together, we will ignite kundalini shakti and deepen our connection to the mystical Mother energy that lives within all of us, regardless of gender. This weekend immersion will include the ancient fire ceremony of Durga Puja. The Goddess Durga is the Mother of all. She is our source, giving us shakti and power, balance and truth. With unconditional love the essence of Durga clears the path for our transformation. Through yoga, meditation and puja or prayer, we connect to the Goddess Durga within us and become aware of the reality that all things and beings are connected, and that love is the fabric of the Universe. And we begin to live within these truths. This is the feeling of the goddess being alive within you. Join us for a weekend immersion with teachings and meditations of Swami Jaya Devi and Sanyasin of Kashi Florida, daily yoga, and nightly fire pujas devoted to the Divine Mother Durga (culminating in the closing fire-light procession on Saturday night which completes ten days of puja to the Mother), all on this beautiful 80 acre retreat center on the Sebastian River. The main workshop will start Friday night and end Sunday afternoon. We will be kicking off the retreat on Thursday night with a fire puja lead by the Kashi Atlanta pujaris.
